Examination
The gemstone or jewelry piece is examined under magnification to assess its overall condition, clarity, and any inclusions or blemishes.
Measurement
Dimensions, weight (carat), and proportions are measured. For diamonds, this includes table size, depth, and diameter.
Grading
The piece is graded based on the 4 Cs for diamonds (Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat weight) or other relevant criteria for different gemstones and jewelry types. Each characteristic is evaluated and scored.
Certification
